Research Assistants Wanted

Investment Arbitration Reporter is an online news and analysis service focused on international law disputes between foreign investors and sovereign states. We are looking for one or more individuals to join our team as part-time research assistants.

Applicants should be fluent in Spanish and English.

The ideal candidates will be students or others with flexible schedules that allow work assignments to be undertaken on short notice. Research assistants will provide support to our Editor and our small-team of journalists. Tasks may include research into particular arbitrations, scrutiny of non-English documents, and occasional clerical assignments.

Other desirable qualities include:

•    Demonstrated writing skills in English, preferably journalistic in nature.

•    International work or study experience;

•    An academic background in international law, or a related field;

•    Not currently advising clients in the field of foreign investment law.

Research assistants will be paid an honorarium for their work. Candidates will work remotely from their current locations.

Interested candidates can send their cv’s and a short (500 word or less) cover note to editor@iareporter.com. Please include the words “Research Assistant” in the subject header of your email message.
